DESCRIPTION: Open to Teams, Individual and Small Groups. This camp will be run primarily as a team camp, depending on sign-up numbers. We will accommodate individuals and small groups and make sure to keep you with your teammates. This camp will focus on the execution of skills with vision, with and without pressure. How a player understands how to correct her technique will be an emphasis. Afternoon sessions will focus on small game play understanding and decision-making. We will incorporate fun games and drills that will allow players to be able to move on to the next play or drill progression with confidence. Evening games will round out the day, giving each team the opportunity to accrue points to compete for the Rutgers Camp Championship the final day. The main focus will be to develop skills and the ability to correct technique in the morning. Each afternoon will consist of competing for points in two skills competitions where the team amasses points. Evening games will round out the day, giving each team the opportunity to accrue points to compete for the Rutgers Camp Championship the final session. We will work to get your team to improve their communication amongst each other, and talk about process goals for the upcoming season. This camp has been designed to get you ready for your upcoming season. Not only will we improve your hockey skills, but we will also stress the importance of competing, communicating and performing under the pressures of the game. This camp will focus on the execution of skills with vision, with and without pressure. We will scrimmage and train as often as possible, to get you ready for pre-season. We will also discuss with you, ways of preparing your mind, body and spirit (motivation), in order to enter your season with a positive and fighting attitude.
This camp also provides a great opportunity for your team to spend quality time on and off the field together. We will spend time discussing goals and expectations for the season. |
